Charly is a Newfoundland German Shepherd Cross who was adopted from SCAN as a small puppy.

Unfortunately he was sadly let down by his adopters.

Following his return to SCAN it was obvious that corrective surgery was necessary on one of his front legs

So many peoplw were touched by his story that public donations to allow his surgery flowed in

over 3000 €

he has now returned to SCAN following the most amazing surgery at MEDIVET in Valencia 3 D models of the Malformed bone produced an exact model of Charlys internal bone structure

Following weeks of precise manipulation of the external Frame fitted to his leg to allow the Bone to re-orientate,  he has now had the external fittings removed.

He has been in foster care since he returned from surgery just before Xmas.

and will remain in care until the bone growth has finished and his tendons return to normal.

Charly is now adopted by a wonderful family, with a big plot, many animals and even more heart.
